Open Top Tree Tour

Working on trees that are affecting our highways can cause significant disruptions to traffic and health and safety risks to operatives. An innovative approach, using a double decker bus has allowed our team of operatives to work safely clearing overhanging trees and vegetation whilst minimising disruption to traffic.

In partnership with Balfour Beatty and West Sussex County Council our team of highly skilled and regularly trained operatives carefully removed overhanging branches and vegetation from the top deck of an open-top double-decker bus. Working from this specialist vehicle allowed roads to remain open, with minimal disruption occurring when cut materials were chipped and cleared by an operative working from a support vehicle.

Travelling throughout West Sussex our team were able to clear overhanging branches and vegetation from roads in Shoreham, Steyning and…………. These works have ensured that West Sussex County Council are able to maintain their tree maintenance schedule and keep local highways clear from hazards and obstructions.
